EMPLOYER PROGRAMMES

Our Work & Baby employer programmes ensure returning parents are back to optimum performance as quickly as possible. We provide support from before parents go on leave through to after they have returned to work; 1:1 coaching and thought provoking exercises that supports parents in feeling more confident, resilient and able to balance work with family.

An important part of supporting parents in this transition is equipping their line manager with the resources to understand and help them through this. Our line manager group coaching or 1:1 sessions are designed specifically to help them support their team members.  With 65% of parents saying they wish their manager had a better understanding of the challenges of returning to work after having a baby, it’s a critical part of the process.

PARENT PROGRAMME

Our Parent Coaching Programme looks at every aspect to make returning to work a success:

What parents can do before they go on leave such as ensuring a successful handover, planning how to stay in touch with colleagues and looking ahead to planning their return.

Support while parents are on leave – how to stay in touch with colleagues, how important it is to stay abreast of changes at work, how they might make part-time working possible and successful and how to find the right childcare to ensure they can fully focus at work.

Support during the critical period of returning to work – the practicalities of managing home life, dealing with emotions such as guilt, increasing confidence and resilience in the workplace and continuing their career progression. Supporting each individual on a tailored basis around their own specific challenges.

MANAGER PROGRAMME

65% of parent returners wish that their manager had a better understanding of the challenges of returning to work after having a baby. That’s why we created the Work & Baby Manager Coaching Programme: to boost parents’ ability to get back up to speed quickly, making them happier and more productive employees.
Through either group or 1:1 coaching sessions and exercises we guide managers through the challenges, emotions and decisions parents are facing as they return to work. Your managers will learn how to support returning parents from before they go on leave through to them being back at their desk.

The managers’ coaching programme covers: 

Actions managers can take before one of their team goes on leave; how will they keep in touch, can they accommodate part-time, have they communicated how valued this employee is? 
What managers must do and should do while one of their team is on leave; how to approach flexible working requests and all the options around how to make flexible working a possibility. 
The return to work; how the emotions and challenges will be different for each person and how managers can support their employees both practically and emotionally.
